St. Margarets Bay Shambhala Centre offers Sadhana of Mahamudra practice on New Moon day of each month.

    Open to everyone.

The Sadhana of Mahamudra is a short visualization practice written by Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche, in 1968, while on retreat in Bhutan.  The  introduction to the Collected Works of Chogyam TrungpaVolume Five., calls it “ the quintessential expression of his [Trungpa Rinpoche’s] enlightened mind and was openly recognized as such. . .”

It joins together the teachings of both the Nyingma and Kagyu¨ lineages in which he was fully versed.  Trungpa, Rinpoche, himself has said it is "Joining Energy and Space," "The lineage of The Sadhana of Mahamudra is the two traditions of immense crazy wisdom and immense dedication and devotion put together.”

For this Practice event the lineage photos will be on the shrine.

This practice has been done by the sangha of his students since his coming to North America.  We are doing it at the St. Margarets Bay Shambhala Center on New Moon days, with the Shambhala Sadhana on Full Moon days.

Please do not wear scented personal care products to the centre.  There is a medical service dog working in the community.  Please 100% ignore the service dog for the safety and independence of the owner.
