    Free and open to the public. 

    Margaret Jones Callahan will facilitate a morning of mindfulness practices based in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Art Therapy (MBAT), and neuro-affective meditation. We will meditate, explore perception, and guided embodied mindfulness meditations for wellness and healing drawn from neuro-affective meditations by Marianne Benzen. There will be time for discussion and contemplation and play.

    Margaret is a meditation teacher, author, psychotherapist, and practising artist. She currently works with persons in recovery, loss, and life transitions. She has led mindfulness retreats and seminars for 30 years, is a senior Shambhala Art instructor, Shambhala Training teacher, and has taught MBSR, MBAT, and Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention. She co-designed and co-led trauma treatment and certificate treament programs in the Justice Institute of B. C. and designed and taught her own MBAT training program. She did a three year retreat with Thrangu Rinpoche, and has studied with many Tibetan teachers including Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

    Masks are welcomed but not required. Please do not wear scented personal care products to the Centre.  There is a medical service dog working in the community.  Please 100% ignore the service dog for the safety and independence of the owner.
